The article present an introduction to the report "Language, life praxis and scenic understanding in psychoanalytic therapy' by Alfred Lorenzer. Topics include Lorenzer's contribution to traumatic neurosis, trauma in concentration camp survivors, and war traumatization; relation among natural science and a hermeneutics, and psycholoanalysis; and psychological aspects of the acquisition of language, which is supposed to be a child's sensorimotor experience.
