Abstract

The article discusses the policy of Japan's Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) towards the country's nuclear industry following the 2011 Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan, including the NRA's shutting down the nuclear plant owned by Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) in Kashiwazaki-Kariwa, Japan. Statistics on use of nuclear power to supply electricity in Japan are discussed.
