Abstract

The article offers the author's insights on the study regarding the schooling experiences of indigenous and racialized girls through graphic life writing of biographical and autobiographical picturebooks. Topics discussed include the counter-storytelling as the helpful concept of theorizing life writing, the analysis of several biography picturebooks such as "Through My Eyes," by Ruby Bridges, and the aspect of teaching graphic life writing.
