Abstract

White piedra caused by Trichosporon spp is a chronic, asymptomatic and superficial hair mycosis. Disseminated infections are uncommon. Diagnosis is confirmed by a mycological test and the culture allow us to identify these fungi. Treatment includes systemic and topical antifungals agents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
