Abstract

Geostatistics method and geographic information system (GIS) techniques were applied to study the yield of hybrid late indica rice Fengyou 9339 and the spatial variability of precipitation during rice growth in the fields in Zhejiang province. The results showed that the C/ (C0 + C) of yield of hybrid late indica rice Fengyou 9339 was 0. 762,and the C/ (C0 + C) of precipitation during rice growth in the fields was 0 .8 - 0. 98,indicating a strong spatial correlation in the stiady regions. Yield of Fengyou 9339 in Zhejiang province was in the range of 6268 - 8664 kg/hm2,and its highest yield was in range of 7873 - 8664 kg/hm2 and occurred mainly in the northern parts of Zhejiang province, accounting for 6. 95 % of the whole province; Yield of 7466 - 7848 kg/hm2 occurred mainly in the western, eastern and northern parts of Zhejiang province, accounting for 45. 80 % of the whole province; Yield less than 7466 kg/hm2 was mainly distributed in the southern and middle parts of Zhejiang province, accounting for 47. 25 % of the whole areas. Precipitation during rice sowing and seedling stage was in range of 86. 00 - 105. 00 mm,occupying 47. 25 % of the whole regions; Precipitation during rice tillering stage range of 40. 00 - 58. 00 mm,occupying 64. 52 % of the whole regions; Precipitation during rice jointing-booting stage was in range of 54. 00 - 74. 00 mm,occupying 41. 42 % of the whole regions; Precipitation during grain filling period was in range of 56. 00 - 71. 00 mm,occupying 56.42 % of the whole region. Partial correlation analysis indicated that there was significant negative correlation between yields of rice Fengyou 9339 and precipitation during jointing-booting stage in Zhejiang province,so the great attention should be paid to water management in the paddy fields during jointing- booting stage, prolonging the root and leaf functional period.
