Abstract
- The article recounts the participation of Canada in the First World War. It cites as example the assault made by the Canadian Corps against the German troops on Vimy Ridge in northern France on April 9, 1917. According to Vimy Foundation executive director Jeremy Diamond, Canadians should embark on a pilgrimage to the Vimy site to commemorate the gallantry of Canadian soldiers. Also cited is the comment by military historian Tim Cook on the Vimy attack.
