Abstract
- The article discusses the history of the Cobb family of the U.S. South. Topics discussed include Ambrose Cobbs' descendants being the first Cobbs to settle in Georgia, Howell Cobb who married Mary Ann Lamar, one of the richest woman in Georgia at the time, and Howell's financial troubles which occurred due to his intention to honor his father's debts.
