Abstract

The article presents case study of a 17-year-old white children with known cystic fibrosis (CF), associated pancreatic insufficiency, and congenital hypothyroidism. The patient reported having an upper respiratory infection 1 week prior to fevers, and chest X-ray showed underlying chronic changes of CF with no new or acute process, and abdominal and pelvic ultrasound revealed a large multilocular left ovarian cyst. Lower incidence of appendicitis was found to be affecting diagnosis.
