Abstract

The article focuses on cloud radio access network (C-RAN) systems. Topics include various end-to-end solutions offered by C-RAN for issues including design of power-effective signals and cost-effective hardware for remote radio heads (RRHs), conception of an elastic and flexible architecture, and distribution and design of data and control traffic for coordinated communications. It discusses the development and effectiveness of the load-controlled parasitic antenna array (LCPAA) for C-RANs.
