NATO Approaches in Response to ISIL and International Terrorism.

In this article, the author discusses the approach of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to deal with the international terrorism and terrorist organization Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Topics discussed include NATO has adopted a counterterrorism stance that uses military capabilities indirectly against terrorism, Article 51 of the U.N. Charter authorized by the United Nations Security Council and use of force against a state or international non-state actor.
