Abstract

Objective: To report the completion of a coronary angioplasty for anterior descending artery with implantation of a conventional stent and medical evolution of the patient until the day of his discharge. Method: Data were obtained from medical records analysis, report of examinations performed, hemodynamic photographic record, interview with the doctor who performed the angioplasty and literature review. Final considerations: the case reported and raised publications demonstrate the importance of early diagnosis of arteriosclerotic disease from conducting a good interview, HPI and performance of hemodynamic procedures and open discussions on AMI frequency in patients over 50 years , smoking and hypertension in Brazil. This article tends to show that angioplasty performed with precision and agility at risk medical situations, they are able to obtain satisfactory results and improved quality of life of patients.
