Abstract

The article discusses results of a study that researched the frequency and co-occurrence of celiac disease (CD) humoral autoimmunity in patients at diagnosis for type 1 diabetes (T1D), autoimmune atrophic gastritis (AG) and Addison disease (AD). Topics include data regarding the percentage of CD patients who tested positive for at least one antibodies; and hypothesis regarding age as a significant variable of developing autoimmune disease in patients.
