Abstract

The article examines how the success or failure of U.S. presidents is often connected with the state of the economy despite the relatively low influence presidents have on economic conditions. It discusses the factors that determine economic results, such as the business cycle, demographic and economic destiny, and Congress, and looks at the level of presidential input.
