Abstract
- The article discusses a pilot programme by charity Age UK which aims to help older people with chronic loneliness. Topics discussed include the participation of nurses and hospital discharge teams that refer older people to the charity who were then introduced to social groups or other like-minded individuals based on their life circumstances and interests. Reported improvements among participants and the correlation between chronic loneliness and depression are also mentioned.
