This study has been carried out so as to determine the career decisions, vocational outcome expectations and optimism levels of university students from the point of view of instructors. The study was conducted in the months of June and July in 2016 in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences using qualitative research pattern. Although it is not quite realistic to mention the number of interviews in qualitative research, an interview has been conducted with at least one instructor representing each and every department There are 13 questions on the survey form that was used in interviews. Furthermore, probing questions have been included into the survey form to enrich the ambience of the interview. Instructors have carefully been selected on a voluntary basis. Interviews have been carried out in places where instructors could comfortably express themselves and average interview duration was 40 to 50 minutes. Special permission was taken from instructors prior to the interview and interviews have been recorded via tape recorders. Using the qualitative data that have been obtained, models have been established through content and descriptive analysis. Certain statements of instructors have occasionally been quoted directly to enrich the study. From the results that have been obtained, certain suggestions have been made, considering that they will contribute to the sample group and domain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
