Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relation between cases of hospitalizations for stroke and the climate pace in the municipality of Ituiutaba, MG. For this, there was the collection of weather data on hourly scale weather station of the city, from 2007 to 2014. The data of hospitalizations for stroke were assigned by the Municipal Health in daily scale. The month of August was chosen because it is the most severe for the population, to have weather combinations that can lead to aggravation of circulatory diseases. The analysis has shown the pace of the behavior of the climatic variables of August 2013, influencing the hospitalization of individuals affected by stroke. The rhythmic approach and climate dynamics, introduced by the Brazilian Geographic Climatology, is of paramount importance for the understanding of the relationship between atmospheric phenomena with the diseases of individuals, becoming the biggest challenge of Medical Climatology today. Thus, there is the need for development work in this area, so you can develop efficient public policy, minimizing climate impacts on the population daily. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
