Abstract
- The reaction of o-(chloromethyl)phenols with enamino ketones afforded a series of 3-acyl- and 3-formyl-4 H-chromenes as a result of cascade transformation including [4 + 2]-cycloaddition of enamino ketone to o-quinone methide generated in situ and subsequent elimination of secondary amine.
