Abstract

The article presents a case study of a fatal anatomic variation of a bilateral retropharyngeal internal carotid artery (ICA) in a 45-year-old female patient. The patient underwent contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) for staging of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and detecting enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. It mentions that angiographic images were made, confirming the anatomical variation of retropharyngeal course of the ICA.
