Abstract: The article presents information on various conferences and events related to geriatric psychiatry. There will be a symposium on the subject of affective disorders in old age held by the European Association of Geriatric Psychiatry on October 7-8, 1988 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Australia is the setting for the Alzheimer's Disease International's important meeting in Brisbane, commencing September 5, 1988. The next issue of "Geriatric Depression" will be devoted to discussion and review papers on aspects of depression in later life.
