National Library of Pakistan (NLP): An Analysis.

It is evaluation of the National Library of Pakistan regarding its activities and services. The study analyzed the management and planning activities; to review the status of ICT applications in the NLP. An evaluation research study was used to explore the research objectives. The quantitative research method was opted to collect the data. Questionnaire survey was used to collect the data from the professional employees of the National Library of Pakistan. The descriptive and inferential methods were used to interpret the data. The response rate was 80.05%. The findings of the study showed that there is a lack of effective decisions from management, implementation of policies, proper planning for future goals, co-operation and co-ordination with departments/ sections. The responsibility on national library is immense and it should work seriously to fulfill its objectives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
