"We Cannot Stand Idly By": A Necessary Call for a Public Sociology of Sport.

The article discusses the ways of emergence of public sociology of sport in the United States. It mentions the need to work upon public engagement and the role of critical scholars of sports and physical cultures in developing sociology of sport.
