Abstract
- The article focuses on the need for rapid evolution of resistance to parasitism in biological control which is an ecosystem service in which a pest, pathogen, or weed is effectively controlled through an ecological interaction with biological control agents. Topics discussed include information on introduction of parasitoids for minimizing parasitism; use of genomic techniques for enhancing knowledge of the population and genetic dynamics; and impact of parasitoids on environment.
