Abstract: The article discusses the depression treatment and health status outcomes in young patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and presents study on same. Topics include continued antidepressant medications and depression counseling received by patients; measuring treatment effects with random effects for marital status, diabetes mellitus, and heart failure; and higher depression rates in women among AMI survivors.
