Abstract

This paper analyzes of Mexican inmgration in Spain from 2003 to 2013. The methodology used analysis of data of the Observatorio Permanente de la Inmigración to determine characteristics as number of residents, including nationalized, cities concentration, gender, age, level of education. We tried two hypotheses: 1) the Mexican inmigrants are similar group in socio demographic characteristics and 2) choosing Spain to continue their graduate studies to continue their education. Some build labour and/or sentimental relationships that make their stay permanent, either for studies (academic immigration), or to start a new life with their Spaniard partner (sentimental immigration). This work describes Mexican inmigrants in Spain, bachelor's degree, typically 35 year old of middle class, who reside mainly in four cities. Women outnumber men. Residence permit obtained by marriage with Spanish people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
