Abstract: The article presents a study for predictors of acute urinary symptom flare following stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in the definitive treatment of localized prostate cancer. Topics include use of SRBT in management of localized prostate cancer; relationship between the prostate, urethra, and the role of radiation dose to other genitourinary organs-at-risk; and understanding the nature of acute urinary morbidity caused by prostate SBRT.
