Abstract

Although high-order edge elements provide accurate solutions, they require considerable computational time. This paper presents new types of second-order edge element for electromagnetic field analysis. The element replaces two edge variables with one on the sides. The system matrix of the finite elements is still singular, because the technique is a kind of partial gauging. The use of the elements allows reduction of computational time compared with the use of conventional ones. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
