Abstract
- The article presents information on a new technology for vehicles being tested by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), which enables the vehicles to communicate with each other and with the roads. USDOT has been conducting research on connected vehicles, in which their position, speed, and brake system status can be known through advanced wireless technology. The technology is aimed at reducing traffic congestion and traffic accidents in the U.S.
