Abstract

The article presents a study that describes the condition of a patient with immunoglobulin (Ig) multiple myeloma (MM) with extensive excretion of free light chains (FLC). It describes the method of the study that observes a 58-year-old white man who was admitted to hospital due to fatigue and weight loss. It outlines the result which indicates that IgD MM may be associated with an extensive production of FLC and misdiagnosed as a light-chain MM.
