Abstract

The article r eports that Latin America Lidar Network (LALINET) is the first Latin American regional atmospheric observational network. Networks of ground-based lidar play an important role at meteorological institutions worldwide for both services and research. Building a regional network of lidars is one of the most challenging of any ground-based atmospheric network building processes.
