Announcement cancelling the offer and refusal to finance a buyback of debt which came through Press Acquisition Inc. Options available to the brothers in pursuit of newspaper ownership; Actions of Northern & Shell PLC which sold off its pornographic magazine division, an action being viewed as a possible sign it will bid for the papers; Failure of Hollinger to make a scheduled debt payment of $7 million on its 2011 bonds.
