Abstract
- A common language is necessary for an integration of psychotherapy techniques. This means that each ‘brand name’ must surrender some historically used terminology. A modem cognitive language seems to be an acceptable ground. This paper suggests how a theory of states, schemas, and controls can use such a language while revitalizing dynamic conceptualizations in a way that promotes articulation to behavioural and family systems points of view.
