Editorial.

This article focuses on the future objectives of the Journal "IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology," as a result of succession of a new editor. To maintain and further the leading role of the journal in publishing state of the art research results in three main areas of interest--mobile communication, transportation systems and vehicular electronics, will be core focus. Further 3 initial objectives are set--to streamline the paper-submission and review process, to increase the reference value of the journal, and to promote research in the three main areas of interest for the vehicle technologists society.
