Abstract

The objective of our work is to reproduce the real effect of the seisms on constructions. For that, we submitted a structure with a nonlinear dynamic loading type "Accelerogram" in the finite element code Abaqus. The studied structure is a reinforced concrete gantry braced by RC shear walls. The structure is established in zone III, classified according to the RPA 99/V2003 zone of strong seismicity. A natural signal of type seism (Boumerdes 2003) is used Natural signals of type seism (Boumerdes 2003) are used. The objective of our work is to study and validate the availability of reinforcements, imposed by the concrete method of limit states (BAEL 1991) under major seismic solicitations in the RC shear wall . Thereafter, we could implement a technique of modeling which reproduces the real behavior of a structure under dynamic loading.
