- The article discusses the situation facing Indian college students in the U.S. who take part in the U.S. Optional Practical Training (OPT) guest worker program. Topics include problems with the H-1B skilled-worker visa program, the employment contracts offered to information technology (IT) and software workers by firms known as body shops, and the recruitment of Indian students by the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in relation to the OPT program.
