The article examines industry standards for common welfare labels that appear in the supermarket for chicken, pork, beef and lamb products. It also discusses the shift in meat quality and consumption in Australia. Industry standards discussed include Australian Certified Organic (ACO), Humane Choice and PROOF and RSPCA Approved.
