Abstract

The article discusses the claim that teachers and school administrators need to respect the wisdom of parents and educators in order to best serve students with with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs, and it mentions how many autistic children deal with anxiety, limited social skills, and executive dysfunction. Consistency, communication, and continuity are addressed in relation to collaborations between teachers, parents, and schools.
