Abstract
- The article reports on the omission of the funding for large-scale research networks in the field of climate change in the 2017 federal budget of Canada's government. Focus is given to the expiration of the Climate Change and Atmospheric Research program and its impact on the facilities in the Arctic, government-academia research collaborations, and recruitment into the field. The government's plan to focus on mitigation by investing in green infrastructure is discussed.
