Abstract

A multi-twister six-channel banknote sorting device is designed for the financial market and public transportation system, to solve the problems of traditional devices such as single structure, large size and expensive price, fhe core of the device and innovation points lay on notes separation mechanism Using friction between note and twist wheel and different gears of synchronous wheels, we design the device with four parts: notes separation structure, notes denomination recognition structure, the structure of the paper currency sorting, and data feedback. The paper currency denomination recognition mainly uses HSV color sensor principle, and data feedback is the LCD display which shows the denomination and quantity of the bill. Paper currencies were sorted by using a combination of eight wheels and the steering control. There are one entry and six exports, and currencies with different denominations are sorted. It greatly saves space. Physical prototype shows that the device can process six different denominations of chaotic notes, it is stable, high sorting speed, small size, high accuracy, low price, clean energy consumption, low visibility, and expandability. It can be used in the public transportation, finance and other related cash processing industry to reduce the sorting of human resources and workload, and improve work efficiency.
