Abstract
- The article discusses the 4000 Deep Argo floats deployed and distributed over the global ocean by the Argo Program, measuring temperature and salinity profiles to 2000-m depth. It states that the Deep Argo will measure the variability of temperature and salinity in the deep ocean. Technology advances have been added to float designs such as the pressure housings, pumping systems and other float components.
