Abstract
- The article discusses the study regarding the perspectives of a group of teacher activists on their interpretation of and interaction with the new Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in the U.S., wherein a subcommittee from the Badass Teachers Association, Inc. (BATs) has been formed to review ESSA. Topics discussed include the views and priorities of teachers in making sense of ESSA, the engagement and responds of teachers to ESSA, and the influence of ESSA to teacher's activism and advocacy.
