The article discusses the interaction between the pathogenicity of the wMelPop, variant of wMel strain of Wolbachia bacteria, temperature and Octomom copy number. Topics discussed include absence of pathogenicity at low temperatures, determination of wMel- Pop pathogenicity through Octomom copy number (OCN) and analyzing the OCN through out the life cycle of Drosophila melanogaster.
