Abstract: The article offers information on several issues in the U.S. midwest states as of 2017. Topics include the Next Level Jobs initiative of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb which aims to pay tuition to employees for training in high-demand fields, proposed innovations to Ohio Governor John Kasich to manage opioid crisis such as remote-controlled medication dispensers, and the proposed law in Michigan to exempt parents from eavesdropping charges when listening to their children in landline phones.
