Abstract

Through the doping of red-light-emitting [Eu(BA) 3 (5-Br-2,2′-bpy)] ( 2 ; HBA = 1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione; 5-Br-2,2′-bpy = 5-Br-2,2′-bipyridine) and blue-green-light-emitting [Tb(BA) 3 (5-Br-2,2′-bpy)] ( 3 ) into PMMA (poly(methyl methacrylate)), the obtained 2@3@PMMA (1[ 2 / 3 = 1:10]:200) exhibits color-tunable white-light. Moreover, using it as the guest of the emitting layer, a single-component white polymer light-emitting diode (WPLED) with good color stability and ultra-high color rendering index (CRI) of 86–92 is also realized.
