Abstract
- Here we present (U/U) data from river sediments collected on the Tibetan Plateau. The (U/U) ratios of a specific grain size fraction show good correlation with erosion rates, which were determined by in-situ-produced cosmogenic nuclides. This correlation has previously been observed in a wide range of geomorphic settings, suggesting that (U/U) ratios of fluvial sediments have great potential to quantify erosion rates.
