Abstract
- The Cross Timbers Ecoregion in the United States occurs in portions ofthree states in the American central region (Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas). There are 17 species found here, representing eight genera and four families (Acanthodrilidae, Lumbricidae, Megascolecidae, Sparganophilidae). Thirteen of the species are native (endemic) to North America; all are European or Oriental (exotic) introductions. A description of six ecoregion and three colour photographs are also included.
