Abstract

This article informs that British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy's (BACP's) Public Consultation Network (PCN) has just celebrated its first 12 months of activity as of March 27, 2004. Membership of the PCN is open to all BACP members who wish to contribute to written responses from BACP on a variety of public consultation exercises in the health and social care field. Papers included are, Children's Green Paper "Every Child Matters": A framework for improving services for children and young people following the Laming Report on the tragic: death of Victoria Climbé. Delivering Race Equality: A Framework for Action: Draft framework to improve mental health services for black and minority ethnic communities, including their relatives and/or carers. Self-Harm: Short-term physical and psychological management and secondary prevention of intentional self-harm in primary and secondary care.
