Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 66-year-old man with complaints of right lower quadrant abdominal pain associated with anorexia, nausea, and an increase in the size of his previously diagnosed right inguinal hernia. Topics discussed include his medical history which included hypertension and hyperlipidemia; results of physical examination; and use of cefazolin and metronidazole for antibiotic treatment.
