Abstract

The article talks about sexual violence and rape by German soldiers against the Jews being pervasive during World War II and the genocide in the Soviet Union. Topics discussed include ways in which German Wehrmacht military actors were aware of the perpetration of sexual violence by their men and how they used this knowledge in light of political aims, operational needs and military objectives.
