Abstract

The article presents suggestions for a process for protection of elephants. Topics discussed include decline in African elephant due to poaching for ivory along with an increase in price of ivory with trade bans and stockpile destruction; the African Elephant Range States Dialogues and structured approach that minimizes bias.
