Abstract
- The article focuses on misconceptions and uncertainty about the interplay between artificial intelligence and the superseding cause doctrine from tort analysis and artificial intelligence software developers from liability. It mentions liability under the shield of the superseding cause doctrine will now likely be subject to a normal proximate cause analysis and advances in machine learning coupled with other continuing developments in artificial intelligence.
